Reading every night with your child is one of the best ways to improve their literacy skills. Oral language is also a big part of our kindergarten program. After reading a book with your child see if they can tell you what the story was about. Show your child that letters and words are all around them. See if they can identify letters on their cereal box in the morning, or can read some words while following along in a book. Here are a few online activities for extra practice.
